Industrial Facility and RCRA Hazardous Waste Compliance

Industrial and commercial facilities may be subject to the Federal RCRA and/or State hazardous waste regulations, depending on the quantity and type of wastes generated. Llewellyn - Howley engineers can assist by determining the applicability of the RCRA rules and provide planning, reporting, materials management and compliance services as needed to meet facility operating requirements. Llewellyn - Howley will plan and oversee the site investigation, sampling and closure activities needed to meet the RCRA requirements for site closure.

Site Assessment and Remediation

Prospective property owners must protect their investment from the liability resulting from environmental contamination. An Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is will screen for potential problems. Financial institutions, attorneys or insurers often require an ESA for purchasing, refinancing and/or insuring property. Llewellyn-Howley performs ESA’s in accordance with ASTM requirements for Level I and II assessments. We can evaluate and propose clean up plans for contaminants including petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, pesticides and metals. We can design treatment systems and ensure regulatory compliance with State and Federal programs.

 

Underground Storage Tank Compliance

Federal and state regulatory programs govern the closure, repair, replacement and installation of underground storage tanks containing hazardous liquids, including gasoline and fuel oil. Llewellyn-Howley engineers provide assistance in maintaining regulatory compliance for your underground storage tanks and will oversee tank testing, leaking tank removal, tank facility closure, soil/water cleanup and the design of underground storage tank installations.
